The Kensington Community Centre is nestled in Rhodes Park which is an oasis of tranquil greenery, beautiful ponds and delightful pathways….

A marvellous mix of stepping stones and railway sleepers lead you through the park – along the lanes over the waterfalls, through thickets and past the beautiful ponds.

Adding to this special appeal is a small amphitheater, which occasionally hosts theatrical performances.

The Kensington Community Centre is the ideal venue for all functions and it is available for use, by the Community of Kensington and surrounds.

Over the years, the Centre has been widely used by community affairs, many weddings were held there, also anniversaries, birthdays, many business meetings, public meetings, ward committee meetings, police meetings and even election meetings.

The KCCA has been founded by the Kensington Seniors Club, (KSC) which has managed the Kensington Community Centre since it was built in 1996 for the use of and benefit of the residents of the Johannesburg suburb of Kensington.

One of  the  principal objectives of the KCCA is to ensure that the Kensington Community Centre remains permanently available to the residents of Kensington and adjoining suburbs for all community activities.
The KCCA administers and manages the affairs of the Kensington Community Centre on behalf of the residents and inhabitants of Kensington.
